Richard Johnston
NZCA Founding Partner, Managing Director at Amalgamated Builders Limited
Richard joined ABL in 1990 as a Senior Quantity Surveyor after working in London and Australia for several years. In 1994 he became the manager the Dunedin branch of ABL, then in late 2002 he became a Shareholder and Director. Richard moved into the current role of Managing Director in late 2015.
Richard has significant experience in the Quantity Surveying role both on the contractor’s side of the fence as well as the professional practice side.
Richard is a strong leader of people, with many years in management roles. He is also an experienced in Project and company management and brings a high level of business acumen to the NZCA.
